The Dash 8 currently in operation from Airlines PNG with Solomon Airlines will be leaving for PNG to undergo a normal scheduled maintenance check from Thursday 23rd to Monday 27th of August, 2012. This will have the aircraft away for almost 5 days. Such maintenance checks are mandatory requirements and are part and parcel of operating a safe and reliable airline, we apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, however it is a safety requirement and this is something we will not compromise.
Normally, there will be disruptions for those days but interim schedules have been adjusted with our Twin Otter and Islander fleet to cater for no Dash 8 during its period of absence.
The Dash 8 will be ferried from Honiara to Port Moresby on Thursday 23rd, after its first Western run and will be returning on Monday morning to pick up our schedule for that day.
Solomon Airlines apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and we appreciate the continued patience of all our good travellers.
Those wishing to change their itinerary or reconfirm bookings may do so by calling the Solomon Airlines Reservations office on 177 (Toll Free) or 20031.
