Following ongoing consultation with the Solomon Islands and Australian Governments, Solomon Airlines today announced changes to the airline’s Australian flight schedule in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to public concern regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), Solomon Airlines has introduced a fee waiver policy to provide greater flexibility for customers who are uncertain about their booked travel in the coming months. The airline has announced a one-time, change fee waiver for those passengers already ticketed and booked for travel up to and including 30 June 2020.

Solomon Airlines today celebrated the official arrival of the carrier’s new Airbus A320 ‘Spirit of Solomons’ H4-SIB, as the aircraft completed its first commercial service from Brisbane to Munda and Honiara. The much-anticipated aircraft arrived to a water canon salute, a welcome by Kustom dancers and a cultural blessing at Henderson International Airport.
