Solomon Airlines A320 to operate between Honiara and Munda offering international baggage allowance as Dash-8 temporarily leaves for maintenance
Solomon Airlines flagship A320-200 aircraft will start operations between Honiara and Munda every Monday from 13 April, as its Dash 8 aircraft undergoes scheduled C-Check maintenance from 11 April.
To ensure continuity of essential domestic air services, the airline will maintain its core domestic schedule using its two Twin Otter aircraft, excluding operations to/from Arona and Lomlom.
John Wopereis, Manager Commercial at Solomon Airlines, said: “We are committed to keeping our domestic network operating and minimising disruption for our passengers. While the Dash 8 is temporarily unavailable, our team will do everything possible to manage demand, support customer needs where feasible, and maintain realistic expectations during this period. This will mean reduction of operations for some ports during this period but will see the introduction of our A320 between Honiara and Munda”
