Solomon Airlines plans special charter flights on 16 August

With the approval of the Solomon Islands Government, and subject to final regulatory approval from the New Zealand Government, Solomon Airlines will operate further repatriation flights on 16 August, between the Solomon Islands, Australia and New Zealand for approved Solomon Islands citizens, residents, and foreign nationals.
Flight IE698 from Brisbane to Auckland and Honiara is not available for public sale and will be strictly for approved passengers as advised by the Solomon Islands Government. Those seeking to travel on this service are advised to contact their nearest Solomon Islands Government embassy or mission regarding this approval. All eligible passengers will be advised by Solomon Airlines if they have been approved to travel.
A second Solomon Airlines flight on 16 August, Flight IE699 will return from Honiara to Brisbane. Bookings on this service are possible via the airline’s Sales Offices in Brisbane or Honiara. The flight is open to those who have Government approval or exemption to stay in, or transit Australia.
Please note that due to limited availability at quarantine facilities in Brisbane, seating on this flight is available only for those who are transiting Australia in under eight hours, or who are exempt from quarantine requirements.

- Flight IE698 Brisbane to Auckland departing 7.00am arriving 12.10pm
- Flight IE698 Auckland to Honiara departing 1.10pm arriving 4.45pm
- Flight IE699 Honiara to Brisbane departing 5.45pm arriving 8.00pm
All Solomon Airlines repatriation flights comply with the COVID-19 regulations and requirements of the relevant countries. Solomon Airlines crew wear facemasks and gloves for duration of service and catering is minimal to reduce contact between passengers and crew.
