Solomon Airlines schedules repatriation flight between The Philippines, Malaysia and Solomon Islands

Following Solomon Islands Government approval and subject to foreign regulatory approval, Solomon Airlines has scheduled the fourth repatriation flight between the Philippines and Solomon Islands, which will also travel via Malaysia to assist the return of citizens to and from both countries.  

The planned repatriation flight will operate as follows:

15 MARCH - HONIARA-BIAK-KUCHING-MANILA

On 15 March, Flight IE662 Honiara-Manila will depart Honiara at 8.15am arriving in Biak at 9.55am for a fuel stop only, before departing at 10.55am and arriving in Kuching at 1.30pm. The flight will then depart to Manila at 2.30pm, arriving at 5.10pm.

This flight is now open for bookings by returning citizens of Malaysia and the Philippines, and others who have right of entry and meet the entry requirements for those countries.

16 MARCH - MANILA-KUCHING-BIAK-HONIARA

On 16 March, Flight IE663 Manila-Honiara will depart Manila at 7.15am arriving in Kuching at 9:50am. All passengers and crew will remain on board and the flight will then depart Kuching at 10:50am, arriving in Biak at 3.10pm. Following a fuel stop, the flight will depart at 4:10pm to arrive in Honiara at 9:55pm.

All passengers for this service will be required to have taken three COVID-19 tests in the 21 days before the flight. They will only be allowed to board the aircraft if all test results are negative.

Passengers who registered their interest with Solomon Airlines were notified accordingly to ensure all tests could be completed in the timeframes required by the Solomon Islands Government.

On arrival in the Solomon Islands, all travellers will undergo a mandatory, minimum 21-day quarantine period and multiple further COVID-19 tests. All COVID-19 test results must be negative before individuals can be released from quarantine.

All Solomon Airlines flights comply fully with the COVID-19 regulations of each country. Solomon Airlines crew on board the airline’s A320 wear facemasks and gloves for the duration of service including full PPE from Manila through to Honiara. Catering is minimal to reduce contact between passengers and crew.
