Solomon Airlines expands their Helpful Holidays initiative

Marau has been added as the latest destination under the ‘Helpful Holidays’ domestic travel initiative being offered by Solomon Airlines and tourism industry partners for stays until 15 July 2020.  The discounted escapes from Honiara to Marau, Munda, Gizo and Seghe combine reduced airfares and accommodation hotspots at up to 50% off the regular prices.

The Helpful Holidays launched on 25 May, have attracted a mix of couples, solo travellers and families taking the opportunity to travel at much-reduced prices.  Demand to date has seen most travellers heading to Gizo with the most common length of stay across all destinations being three-night packages.
 
“Helpful Holidays is designed to support our local tourism operators most impacted by the current border restrictions so we encourage those who are able to, to take a break on some great value packages, “ said Solomon Airlines Manager Commercial Colin Sigimanu.

“In light of the recent extension of the regular scheduled international flight suspension to 31 August 2020, we will continue to support our industry partners and we also look forward to releasing the next round of Helpful Holidays offers and destinations” he added.

The bargain holiday packages are for minimum 3-night stays, but can also be extended to 4-nights and 7-nights based on schedules.  Examples of ‘Helpful Holiday’ packages include:
