Solomon Airlines reaffirms its commitment to Fiji route

Posted on July 29, 2014 at 11:14 AM in General News

Honiara, Solomon Islands

The national carrier of the Solomon Islands, Solomon Airlines has apologised unreservedly to customers affected by the Fijian government’s decision to suspend its Honiara-Fiji services.

Solomon Airlines’ CEO, Captain Ron Sumsum said it was very unfortunate the Fijian government had decided to take the action it has but he was optimistic both countries’ governments would be able to resolve the situation in the shortest time to the benefit of all passengers travelling on the route.

“A speedy resolution is in the best interests of everyone and particularly those passengers whose travel plans have been disrupted as a consequence of the Fijian government action,” he said.

In the meantime the airline is doing its utmost to assist those passengers affected, offering services on alternative routes.

All Solomon Airlines passengers booked on Honiara-Nadi and Nadi-Honiara flights are requested to contact the airline’s international reservation service, telephone (+ 677) 20031 or Fiji Nadi office 679 672 2831 or even through their travel agents or email - [email protected] or [email protected]
