Rennell – a World Heritage Site – is the main attraction of this province in the Solomon Islands, with the South Pacific’s largest inland lake – Lake Tengano. The two-island province of uplifted corals lies directly south of Guadalcanal. It is the world’s largest – and best example of – uplifted coral island.

The lake and its surrounds are home to numerous endemic birds and plants and it’s a great place for crab hunting, spear diving, night fishing and dolphin watching. There are a number of rest houses along the edge of the lake and cave accommodation is available in Bellona.

Although the Rennell and Bellona province is only one hour by place from Honiara, you’ll find yourself transported to another world – life here is so different to anywhere else in the Solomons.
