Maravagi Resort Reef*
Local reef dives include the
following superb dive sites:
Baby Cake
Just 2 minutes by boat from the resort, you can see crocodilefish, scorpion
leaf fish, stone fish and lion fish. A very colourful dive site. Depth range:
12-40 metres.
Kovuhika Island
There are at least three excellent dive sites near Kovuhika Island. A forest
of giant red and yellow fans, sharks, pelagics and a large school of fusiliers.
Depth range: 5-30 metres
There is also a wall dive from 18 to 40 metres. Drop down the wall to the top
of the Pyramid at 25 metres down to 50 metres.

Soghonara Island
A wall dive with turtles sharks and pelagics. At 24 metres, there is
the Crayfish Cave with hundreds of crays and luminous fish!
Depth range: 12-50 metres. 10 minutes from the resort.
Passage Rock
West of Soghonara Island, Passage Rock is a vertical drop-off where you may
see big dogtooth tuna, kingfish, sharks and different kinds of sea fans.
Depth range: 12-40 metres.10-15 minutes from the resort.
Rueben’s Express
Discovered by dive guide Rueben Kunix Sulu off Mangalau Point, this is an exhilarating
drift dive where you may see grey reef sharks, white tipped sharks and grey
whalers. Depth range: 18-30 metres. 5 minutes from the resort.
Sandfly Passage
A wall drift dive with large bumphead parrots and a beautiful coral garden at
the shallow end, studded with big red and yellow fans. Depth range: 12-45
metres. 15 minutes from the resort.
US B24 Bomber
Dive on this ditched Liberator bomber then continue with a reef dive. Depth
range: 5-34 metres. 10-20 minutes from the resort.
Maravagi Resort Reef
This reef is just off the beach in front of the resort. It is an easy
dive where students are introduced to scuba diving. Night dives are also
conducted on this reef. Depth range: 2-25 metres
